What Actually Moves Mountains, Not Faith.

We’re all used to saying faith moves mountains, we believe in it, you do and I do as well, but the truth is, it is not actually the faith in it self that moves the mountains, Then what moves the mountains if not faith?

A lot of times when we are faced with mountains of trials and challenges, when we are faced with mountains of lack, barrenness, delay, sickness, Joblessness, and so on. we pray about these mountains, cry about them, get depressed over them.

We believe that God will take care of them because he promised to do so in his word. We murmur and complain about them but we rarely speak to them directly.

What Actually Moves The Mountains is speaking faith to the mountains and been fully convinced that it is done. Faith can be likened to an hunter who went hunting in the forest with a gun in his hand filled with bullets, but he is complaining, murmuring, and crying that the animals are not dying rather they are just walking around him and God is saying, there are already bullets in the gun just fire it (speak the words).

The gun represents your faith, while the bullets stands for your words. Until you speak God can’t do anything.

He won’t assume anything, he needs you to say something and be specific. In Matthew 7 vs 7 he said ask even though he knows your needs already, he needs you to be specific about your needs. Jesus speaking in Mark 11 vs 23 said;

For truly I say to you, That whoever shall say to this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he said.

Notice that the word say or said (speak) occurred three times but believe only occurred once.

Faith can also be likened to knowledge. Knowledge is powerful but the application of knowledge is even much more powerful. Knowing something and not applying it makes in no wise better than someone who does not know it all.

Since you have faith and believe in his power to change and turn situations around, he expects you to speak directly to the situation and not murmuring, or crying, or complaining the situation. He needs you to fire the gun (speak). When you speak he will do it because as you speak in his ears so will he do (Numbers 14 vs 28).

When you speak in faith believe and don’t be bothered about it anymore instead thank God as though you’ve received it already.

A man who plants a seed does not go about checking it to know if its growing, he knows that when the harvest comes there will be fruits, because seed time and harvest will not cease.

When next you’re faced with a mountain rather than murmuring, and getting depressed over it speak boldly to it in faith commanding it to move and it will definitely move.

Don’t keep silent and assume that God knows and understands, speak. Remember God will not move or do anything until you speak.
