Obedience To God Will Always Bring Blessings.
Growing up, there’s this song we usually sing in Nigeria and it says
“prayer is the key 2x, prayer is the master key, Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer, prayer is the master key.”
Prayer is a key but certainly not the master key. Obedience is the master key. The totality of the word is Love, and obedience is the expression of that love.
Obedience To God Meaning.
You cannot pray your way into financial prosperity but you can obey your way into eternal prosperity body, soul, and spirit by obeying divine instructions. For all that pertains to life and godliness has been given but it’s only by obedience that you can access these blessings.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 2 Peter 1:3
Obedience to God simply means submitting to God’s principles and instructions for our lives (every aspect of our lives) and actually doing what is contained in these instructions.
It is only by obedience that you can enjoy the fullness of God’s blessings, It is only by obedience that you can unlock undeniable blessings.
If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land: Isaiah 1:19

Is Obedience a Choice?
God created the entire universe but yet he will never force you to obey him. God doesn’t force people to obey him, if he did no one would have survived till this minute. Because we have all disobeyed in one way or the other, we wouldn’t have even lived to give our lives to Christ.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19
God wants us to love him from our hearts. He wants us to understand the true meaning of love. Because when you love him truly you’ll obey him effortlessly.
Obedience to God will always and forever bring blessings to as many that will love him enough to obey him. Disobedience has never been and will never be an option if you must enjoy the fullness of God’s blessings in your life.
God is love and because of his love for us he will compel us in love. He does not want any soul to perish. Not been compelled as in to force you, but rather urging you in such a way that evokes a strong emotional and intellectual Inclination to respond accordingly.
Also there’s a cup for every one, that is a cup of mercy. When God gives you time and chances for repentance and you don’t, you won’t always have that time.
Obedience is the highest form of worship you can offer to God. Obedience is the gateway to the realms of the supernatural. Deuteronomy 28:1-13.

There is none greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you are his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9
We are on a journey to fulfill our divine purpose here on Earth disobedience will only elongate our journey, and also cut it short without fulfilling it.
Abraham’s Obedience To God’s Call
When god called Abraham he didn’t tell him where exactly to go but he just said move and Abraham obeyed.
Now the LORD had said to Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you: 2. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: Genesis 12:1-2
Abraham had every right to disobey especially when the location was not even certain, seeing that he had everything he wanted, not like he was really a poor man before he was called.
And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. Genesis 12:5
He already had servants and possessions. So there was really no need to obey but he obeyed and till today we are still partakers of the blessings from that obedience.
If Abraham had disobeyed he would not have been the father of many nations as he was promised, and there also wouldn’t have been the nation of Israel today. Obedience is the key to God’s heart. Obedience is better than sacrifice, God wants our obedience and gifts because obedience is actually the proof that we love him, and tat is where the blessings lies.
Lessons From Jesus’ Obedience
In Luke 4:5-8, we see the devil offering Jesus Christ the glory, wealth, riches, and power of the world, if only he worshipped him but Jesus promptly rejected it.
While in philippians 2:9-11, God gave Jesus power over everything in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth. After he rejected the devil’s offer, he eventually received a greater glory.
In like manner the devil brings this same types of temptations to us every day. He brings up different suggestions that are contrary to God’s will for our lives.
He might even use something that you’ve been praying for, and sometimes they look and sound very good to the hearing. If you yield to his suggestions, you are actually bowing to worship him in order to get a fading glory. But if you refuse just like Jesus Christ did God will in turn give you wealth on earth and in heaven.
NOTE: That Jesus Christ only received a greater glory that made even the devil subject to him because of his obedience. If he had disobeyed the scriptures and had bow to worship the devil, he would not have only lost the glory, but there would also have been no salvation today.
So you see what his disobedience would have cost us. This is exactly how our disobedience rubs us of our blessings and rights.
God has blessed us and has made available everything we need to succeed and be successful in life even before we needed them. But without obedience you can not have access to these blessings even though they’ve been made available.

Hindrances To Obedience To God
- Pride – when you think you know it all, and you have it all, it can really be difficult to obey. this Was the Same Mistake Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon made. It thought because he was the wealthiest King then and so he felt he was above God until God sent him out into the forest to go and stay with animals for seven years. And when he came back he and praised God. Then he realised that there was nothing he had or had gotten that was gotten by his own power or strength.
The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty? Daniel 4:30
The same hour was the thing fulfilled on Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. Daniel 4:33
And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that lives for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: Daniel 4:34
- Ignorance – not knowing the cost of disobedience and why you should obey can hinder you from obeying god completely. if Saul had known that by that act of disobedience his Kingdom was going to be taken away from him he wouldn’t have disobeyed.
And Samuel said, Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king. 1 Samuel 15:23
Conclusion
Of a truth, it is very tough to remain steadfast in Christ especially when you are going through tough times. But by his grace you will overcome. Not by might, not by power but by his spirit you shall prevail.
