King James Version (KJV) Matthew 9:28 – And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

The Message Bible (MSG) Matthew 9:28 – When Jesus got home, the blind men went in with him. Jesus said to them, “Do you really believe I can do this?” They said, “Why, yes, Master!”

New International Version (NIV) Matthew 9:28 – When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied.

If we must receive anything from God, we must first of all believe that He is able to give that which we desire or seek, and also that He is able to do what we want him to do for us.

Reflection

The first thing Jesus asked when they came to meet him was ” Do you believe that I can make you see? The bible says in Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is not negotiable with God, whether you’re expecting or believing God for something or not, and also in our relationship with Him.

God wants us to trust him. Jesus said even if your faith is as small as a grain of mustard seed it would move mountains. Matthew 17:20.

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus, Lord Jesus I trust and believe in your power to save, where I might have doubted have mercy, and I ask Lord that you will strengthen my faith in you. So that I will Never to be shaken at all, but stand firm.

Help me to hold on to your stretched out arms that are mighty to save me and to provide all I need and will ever need in Jesus name, Amen.
