Reflection
Perfection is attainable, Job was a perfect.
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job 1:1
If Job being a man was perfect then it is possible to be perfect with God. Jesus Christ Himself came to teach us the way of perfection using Himself as the perfect example.
The way of perfection is simply love and obedience. The totality of perfection is Love. When you love God you will obey him and do all He has commanded you to you. You will love like him.
It was because of this love that made Job overcome the test of the devil, in that he did not sin when he lost everything within a twinkle of an eye. Rather he said; Though he slay me, I will hope in him… Job 13:15a
If it was not impossible to walk perfectly before Him he wouldn’t have asked us to be perfect. Jesus came and made it possible by showing us how to. We are inexcusable. Romans 2:1 To walk in perfection we must follow the footsteps of the one who came to show us how – Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to walk uprightly before you, so you can say of me have seen Ebi my daughter (use your name in place of mine).
