Reflection
This verse is often used as a doxology, a short hymn of praise to God. In this case, the verse is praising God for his power and authority, and acknowledging Jesus Christ as the means through which God’s glory is made known. The verse also emphasizes that this praise is due to God not only in the present moment, but throughout all of time.
