I used to think that it was impossible to be holy as God wants us to be, I thought one couldn’t be possibly holy. But then when I started having a better understanding of God’s word I realized that if it wasn’t possible God wouldn’t have said ” Be holy for I am holy ”.
I realized that God called Job a perfect and an upright man, And Jesus also lived without a single sin throughout his life on earth. Then it is very possible I said to myself, because his grace is sufficient for me and his strength is made perfect in my weakness. Corinthians 12:9.
Just like me, the word holiness is a word that frightens a lot us, it sound very heavy, and almost seem impossible to many of us. Being holy is a command and something that is to be taken seriously.
It doesn’t matter how the word Holiness makes us fell but what matters is that God has said Be holy for I am holy, so you must be holy if you want walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for your life.
God is just, pure, he is most righteous, and most Holy, and His eyes are too pure, therefore he cannot behold iniquity, Habakkuk 1:13. And he wants us to be like him, that’s why the bible said in 1 Peter 1:16.
Because it is written, be ye holy; for i am holy. 1 Peter 1:6
Holiness is a major part of our lives as Christians because, it is only with holiness that we can see God, Hebrews 12:14.
Many times you hear people ask questions like: what can I do to be holy?, how can I become holy? how to become holy like Jesus or how do I become holy like Jesus? Some say it is impossible to live a holy life, and so on.
The truth is, it is not impossible to live a holy life. Jesus lived for about thirty three years on earth without committing a single sin. If Jesus could do it, you could do it too because his grace is sufficient for you.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will i rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Holiness simply means obedience. James 4:17.
Once you know the right thing to do, do it. It’s that simple. You’ve read in the bible that it is wrong to lie, then don’t lie. Just obey that’s all.
I know some of you may say Obedience to every single instruction from God is not easy. The easiest way to do this is to take it one step at a time, then you would see the possibility.
You can’t wake up one morning and become holy. It is a process that is consciously followed irrespective of the prevailing hindrances. It’s a work of step-wise development.

And he said to them all, If any man will come to me, let deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23
Jesus said you should take up your cross daily. If you think about keeping your whole body and teeth clean for the rest of your life, it will look like a lot of work. But when you just ensure that you keep them clean daily, then you will achieve the goal for the rest of your life. You brush your teeth every morning, you take your bath every morning, so also should you decide to live holy every morning and everyday.
As anointed as apostle Paul was he still had to die daily in order to carry his own Cross to follow Jesus, 1 Corinthians 15:31.
When you wake up in the morning, renew, your Commitments to live holy just for that day. Tell yourself that I will live holy throughout today, I will not commit any sin today, With just a day as the goal, it is much more easier to achieve holiness.
By the time you add 7 sets of a day together, you would have been holy for one week and then one month, and then one year and so. Holiness is achievable, it is possible. Make up your mind to be obedient to God’s instructions, his grace is sufficient for you.
