When you pray for things with wrong reasons you will not get them. When the motives behind your desires are full of selfishness, pride, and lost, God won’t give you your heart desires. Because what you are asking for will not bring him glory. When next you ask him for something check if it will glorify him.
James 4 vs 3
American King James Version (AKJV) – You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it on your lusts.
