Many times when we look at our lives and the circumstances around us, we conclude that our lives are a mess. We fail to realize that there are thousands of people crying, praying, and dying to be where we are.

You have a roof over your head and food to eat, it is enough reason to be grateful. You have your children while others have been barren for years. God has blessed you so much that your children goes to school, some even good schools, but there are kids who didn’t go to school because their parents couldn’t afford school fees.

You eat two or three times daily or even more when there are a lot of people who can’t even afford one meal a day.

You have a roof over your head when there are so many people who sleep on the road, and in uncompleted building just to get by daily.

Yet you blame God for every little thing when there thousands of things you should be grateful for on a daily basis.

Be grateful at all times. Some people have eyes but can’t see, you have eyes and you can see, at least you’re reading this. Some have legs but can’t walk but you have legs and you can walk.

The list goes on and on. The greatest mistake you’ll make is to compare your life with that of another. You’re different because God made it that way intentionally, and he knows why.

So be patient with yourself and be patient also with God. Trust in his power to change and turn situations.

Believe in him and he will definitely make straight your paths.

Be grateful for the little things that others take for granted; Be grateful that you can sleep and wake up the next day, that you can walk, that you can talk, that you can wear your clothes by yourself, that you can eat, that you can use the bathroom, that you still have a sound mind. In everything and for everything give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
