Reflection

It is very exciting to know that we have a father who listens. There are some fathers who doesn’t really pay proper attention to the needs of their children.

But your own father – God is so mindful of you to the extent that every hair of your head is numbered – Matthew 10:30

Now we know that our father hears us when we asks and He also answers, but you must ask according to His will in order for Him to answer.

The Bible says in James 4:3:

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Therefore, your motive for asking must be genuine.

Hannah asked for several years, whenever she went for Shiloh, but she was asking because she felt she was been humiliated by her co-wife Peninnah.

She wanted to prove to Peninnah that she too could bear children, but that was Vengeance in her heart therefore, God refused to answer.

But when she decided to let go of the insults, the pain, from Peninnah and neighbors around.

She told God that she should would give back the son to Him if He gives her a son, then God opened her womb, and she conceived. Because her motives and intentions had changed.

Ask with this confidence believing that God listens, and as Long as you don’t ask amiss, you will definitely testify.
